John Powers Roche, Sr.

John Powers Roche, Sr., 74, of Saratoga Springs, passed away suddenly on July 5, 2025, in Bolton Landing on Lake George—his favorite place to be. Born on February 2, 1951, in Troy, NY, John spent many joyful years at the lake with his cherished family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane; his son, John “JP” Roche; daughter-in-law, Sylvia; and grandchildren, Mia and Max. John was deeply loved by all who knew him. With a heart full of kindness, he was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather. Always caring for others, John found joy in making sure everyone around him was happy, cared for, and enjoying life. He treasured his time on the lake, especially aboard his prized Warlock boat, and will be remembered for his generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Avenue (Rte 9/Marion Ave), Saratoga Springs, NY.

A private graveside service will take place at Bolton Rural Cemetery, Bolton Landing, NY 12814.
