John W Harrington Jr.

SARATOGA SPRINGS - John W. Harrington Jr., age 62, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.  He was known as “Jack” to family and friends. 

He was born on August 5, 1956 at the Navy Hospital in Quantico, Virginia, the son of John W. Harrington, Sr. and the late Margaret G. Harrington.  He lived in Dunellen, NJ until 1972 when his family moved to Saratoga Springs, NY.

Jack had a heart of gold.  He happily helped and supported others and never expected anything in return.  He could always be counted on and always stood by his family and friends.  Jack was a devoted husband, son, brother, and uncle.

He worked at International Paper in Corinth, NY for many years.  He also worked for Saratoga Hospital as a Security Guard in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Jack was predeceased by his mother, Margaret G. Harrington (Moore); grandparents, William and Grace Moore (Keany); several cousins and many Aunts and Uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Shilo Harrington (Pendrick); father, John W. Harrington, Sr.; sister, Donna Mayo (Harrington) and her husband Matthew; niece, Brittany Reale, nephew, Brian Reale; Aunt, Mary Smith (Moore) and many cousins who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs.  Family and friends may call from 1 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
