John B. Favreau

GANSEVOORT – John B. Favreau, age 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Mount Sinai Hospital with his loving wife at his side.

He was born on June 13, 1961 in Alexandria, VA, the son of the late Richard Favreau and Alyce White Favreau.  

John was an IT Specialist at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for many years.  He was an aviation enthusiast and enjoyed flying a Cessna 172 in a flight club at the Saratoga Airport.  

John loved sitting in the backyard watching the birds and listening to their songs. He took great pride in the garden and his zinnias.

John was a very passionate person who loved his family very much; he took great pride in his children’s accomplishments may they be academic, Elliot’s military service, sports, Alex’s horse shows or their hobbies.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Jeri Favreau; daughters Shannon Favreau, Alexandra Favreau (William Weinert), and son, Elliot; brothers, Charles Favreau (Madeline), Peter Favreau (Barbara); sister, Susan Favreau; mother-in-law, Linda Robinson; sisters-in-law, Christiane Vegarra, Kimberly Barnouin (Stephane); granddaughter, Courtney Favreau and many friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Richard Robinson.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 10:45 am to 11:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
