Joanne Lake Howard

Joanne Lake Howard, age 81, of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Robert, whom she missed dearly.

Born on February 16, 1945, in Saratoga Springs, New York, Joanne was the daughter of the late Harold S. Lake and Hannah B. Lake. A lifelong resident of the Saratoga Springs area, she was known for her quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Joanne devoted more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a valued employee of Wesley Health Care Center. Throughout her career, she earned the respect and appreciation of her coworkers and the residents she served through her compassion, hard work, and gentle spirit. After many years of faithful service, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and commitment.

Above all else, Joanne treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that they will carry with them always. Her love, guidance, and quiet devotion will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to know her.

Joanne is survived by her loving daughter, Laneen (Benjamin) Peck; her son, Robert (Florence) Howard; and her cherished grandchildren, Dylan Howard and Hannah Howard; her siblings, Lafayette Lake, Jacqueline Davis, Julia Coonradt, Roberta (Ernest) Brown, Gregory (Debbie) Lake, Cynthia Neil, Kim (Darlene) Lake; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert F. Howard, Sr.; her brother, Harold Lake; and her sister, Beverly Durrette.

In accordance with Joanne's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
