Joann Abraham

Joann Abraham, 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at her home in Corinth, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 31, 1960, in Fort Carson, Colorado, Joann was the cherished daughter of Dudley Ray Allbright and Dorothea Spaeth Allbright. She dedicated many years to public service as a New York State Correctional Officer at the Washington Correctional Facility.

When not on duty, Joann found peace in the great outdoors. She had a passion for fishing, boating, and tending to her garden, where she cultivated both beauty and tranquility.  However, her greatest joy came from the moments she shared with her family, cherishing every memory made together.

Joann is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Robert Abraham, along with her two sons, Christopher Abraham and Daryll Abraham. Her gracious smile and warm spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Joann’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9/Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Family and friends are invited to gather from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Joann’s love for nature, her dedication to service, and her enduring kindness will remain in the hearts of those she touched.
