Jean M. Huston

Jean M. Huston, age 38, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long courageous battle with her health. 

She was born on April 1, 1982 in Troy, NY, the daughter of Andrew J. Proctor and Jo-Ann Burr Proctor. Jean was a graduate of Saratoga High School, class of 2000.

Jean was an administrative assistant for the Hudson Headwaters Health Network in the Queensbury area for many years.  Jean was an adventurous, she loved the outdoors, she loved camping, fishing, and hiking.  Jean had a heart for art as well.  Her most cherished joy was spending time with her son, Mason. 

Jean is survived by her husband, Matthew Huston; son, Mason Huston; parents, Andrew J. and Jo-Ann Proctor; grandparents, Arden and Wayne Conners; brother, Jeffrey Proctor (Serna Davis); sister, Justine Sphur (Travis); Aunts, Robin Connolly (Raymond), Sherryll Waldron (Chuck), Christine Morine (Michael), Susan Wheeler (Bobby), Kelly Hussey (David); Uncles, Raymond Burr (Gudrun), Gregory Burr, Charles Burr (Paula), Wayne Connors, Jr.; mother-in-law, Diane Huston; Grandfather-in-law, Douglas Huston; brother-in-law, Christian Huston, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Savilla Jean Burr; Aunt, Savilla Rose; Uncles, Walter H. Burr, Uncle Gene S. Burr; grandmother-in-law, Eleanor Huston.

A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY with Rev. Carole Miller officiating.  Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jean’s family for the continued care of her beloved son, Mason Huston.
