James E. Putnam

James E. Putnam, age 64, was called to his eternal home on June 23, 2024, after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.

 Born on April 21, 1960, in Chicago, IL, Jim was a proud graduate of River Forest High School in East Chicago, IN, class of 1978.

Following high school, Jim dedicated 20 years to serving in the U.S. Navy. After retiring from military service, he spent over two decades working for the Boeing Company in St. Louis, MO. Jim's career allowed him to travel extensively, fulfilling his passion for exploring new places around the world.

Jim was deeply loved by his family and friends. He shared a special bond with his wife, Johnna Putnam (Nokes), who passed away on the same day. He is survived by his mother, Jean Putnam; his son, Stephen Putnam; his brothers, John Putnam Jr. (Linda) and Charles Putnam; his sister, Joan Olson (Rick); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all dearly miss him.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Putnam Sr., and his stepdaughter, Courtney Bouton. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Southside Cemetery, 634 Gansevoort Road, South Glens Falls, NY.
