James Zebulon Morgan IV
Jimmer passed away on Wednesday July 2nd, 2025 in a tragic car accident at the age of 29.
He is survived by the love of his life Margaret “Meg” Scognamiglio, his beloved fur babies Baskins, Gabby, Lady, Simon, and his feathered friend Dallas.
His parents, Chad and Bobbie Jo Ezzo, sister Ashley, and his little brother whom he adored, Nicholas, nephews Austin, Carter, Gunner, niece Lilly, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins galore are left to cherish his memory. As well as his many friends he made along the way.
From Meg:
They say that the creation and evolution of mankind mimics the patterns that make up the nebulas and galaxies of our solar system. Our veins are pulsing with stardust, each breath we take is the universe looking at itself, tasting itself and reading its own code. They say that matter can neither be created nor destroyed, something Jim would tell me often. And I would tell him that everyone we have ever loved is still here, in the mountains, and the wind, and the morning sun. He loved working with his hands and was the most talented leather smith and craftsman. Our house was filled to the brim with music, and Jim would regularly twirl me around in the kitchen while singing his favorite songs. When he danced, it was like watching water rushing from my most favorite creek. The way he moved with so much grace despite being 6 foot 3 will never cease to amaze me. He loved animals and would always show me photos and tell me stories of the furry friends that he had lost. He was always ready to go hiking, swimming or skiing, and always ready to make sure everyone around him smiled.
I’ve only known Jim since 2023, but it feels like I have been his for a thousand lifetimes. The two years that I have known him reminded me that love could be kind and forgiving.
Jim was and is stardust in its purest form. His love for the stars and for the night was palpable in his photography, music and art. He never ceased to find the wonder in the every day, and was so bold and unabashedly himself that it inspired every single person he came across. He was love, he was light, he was joy, and he was kindness.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold him in the palm of his hand.
A memorial service will be held at his parent’s home in Crown Point on Wednesday July 9th at 2pm.
