Howard Cooley

Howard Cooley, age 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 23, 1967, in Schenectady, NY, he was the beloved son of Linda Muscanell Cooley and the late James Cooley.

Howard worked for many years in the Engineering Test Department at Espey in Saratoga Springs. He was a devoted New York Giants fan and had a passion for Led Zeppelin, video games, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and the thrill of roller coasters. His greatest joy in life was being a father to his beloved daughter, Amanda, whom he loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica, with whom he shared many years before separating; daughter, Amanda Warren (Brendan); brothers, Edward Cooley (Katie Viscardi), James Cooley (Carrie); sisters, Karen Vilsaint (pre-deceased by Stephen) and Colleen James (Dave Tarbassian); grandchildren, Sylas and Skyler Warren; his beloved nieces Alyssa McClosky (Sam) and Danielle Hallabrin (Russell), and nephews Alex Cooley (Will) and Andrew, all of whom loved him dearly. 

and many dear friends, especially his devoted coworkers—Sean, Dan, Jim, Cheryl, and Chrissy—whose unwavering support and kindness during the final month of his life meant so much to him and his family.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at 47 Fiddlers Lane, Latham, NY 12110. Additional parking across the street in cul-de-sac. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.  The family extends special thanks to Alex for graciously hosting the celebration of life at his home.
