Harry Brown III, 65, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024. Born in Middletown, NY, on September 23, 1959, he was the son of Harry Brown Jr. and Patricia Brown-Davis.
Harry graduated from Valley Central High School in Orange County, NY, and later moved to Ballston Spa, NY, with his beloved wife of 37 years, Cheri. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy, raising two children, Kelli and Matthew.
Harry worked as a sheet rocker early in his career before joining Ball Metal Container in Saratoga Springs, where he worked for many years before retiring in 2018. Known for his resourcefulness and knack for fixing anything, Harry was the “go-to guy” for all things mechanical and technical, always armed with the right tool and a helping hand. He built enduring friendships with his coworkers and was fondly regarded as the resident "computer fix-it" expert.
A devoted family man, Harry was overjoyed to welcome his cherished grandchildren, Ava Rose Jeanson and Ethan Miller, into his life. He was a passionate fan of Bruce Springsteen and the New York Giants, loved fishing, scuba diving and riding motorcycles, Harry took great pride in his Polish heritage, especially the food.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Brown; his children, Kelli Jeanson and Matthew Brown; his grandchildren, Ava Rose Jeanson and Ethan Miller; his mother, Patricia Davis; and his sisters, Kim Brown of Middletown, NY, and Tami Cohen of Bedford Hills, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Harry Brown Jr., and his sister, Lori Brown Scott.
Family and friends may visit to pay their respects from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
For friends and family in the Orange County area, a memorial service will take place on Monday, November 25th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gagan Funeral Home, located at 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. The burial will follow immediately at New Prospect Cemetery, situated at Route 52 at New Prospect Road, Pine Bush, NY.
Harry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, resourcefulness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
