Guillermo Choto age 70, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on June 10, 1951, in San Salvador, El Salvador the son of the late Nicolas Carlos Aguilar and Zoila Celia Valladares.
Guillermo graduated from Apex Technical Institute in Manhattan, NY in 1984 where he learned to be a diesel mechanic. In September 2001, Guillermo was dispatched to the World Trade Center Ground Zero site where he was instrumental in keeping equipment and machinery operating during the rescue and recovery efforts for several months following the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
He worked as a mechanic for many years in New York and New Jersey and then as a bus driver, with GST Transport.
Guillermo loved listening to the Beatles and being a Diesel Mechanic. He also loved to dine out in his spare time and enjoyed spending time with his dog Macho.
Guillermo is survived by his daughters, Jennycel Cruz (Milton), Claudia Ivonne Collins (Christopher), and Celia Luz O’Neill (Sean); Brothers, Aureliano Aguilar; sister, Zoila Barahona; grandchildren, Christen Feliciano, Brandon Feliciano and Jameson O’Neill; many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Luz Maria Arzuaga Choto of 43 years; grandson, Alexis Danny Feliciano; brothers, Carlos Valladares and Ramon Cruz Valladares.
At the request of the family there will be no calling hours or service at this time.
