Gregory Siragusa

May 17, 1922 ~ March 13, 2022 (age 99)

Gregory Siragusa, age 99, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at The Schuyler Ridge.

He was born on May 17, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Vincent and Christina (DiFiore) Siragusa.

Gregory was the devoted husband of Alda for 73 years and now joins her in heaven.  He was the beloved father of Christine (John), Gregory (Mary), Robert (Sandy), and Thomas (Alison); proud grandfather of Gregory, Patricia, Annie, Robert, Stephen, Suzanne, Courtney, Mark, Lewis, John, Dean, and Stephen; great grandfather to Henry, Dylan, Reese, Reid, Morgan, Sienna, Oliver, Stephen, Lily, Ryan, Noah, and Kailyn.

Gregory spent his career in the furniture business, managing Goldsmith & Son, in Brooklyn, NY for nearly 40 years.

He was veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving from 1942-1946.

Gregory was an avid golfer who could play well and enjoyed playing as much as watching tournaments.  He was a founding member of the Northeast Invitational Golf Tournament, an annual golf tournament amongst friends held in the Poconos and he joins in heaven many of his lifelong N.E.I.G.T friends who have been waiting for him at the 1st tee.  He loved his New York Yankees, despite growing up in Brooklyn, NY and was quite passionate about their successes and failures.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice in Clifton Park, as the Siragusa children are truly grateful for all the dedicated care that came from Community Hospice, as well as Schuyler Ridge Nursing, Peregrine Memory, and Interim Health.
