Gloria M. Scaramozzino

Gloria M. Scaramozzino, 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 7, 1925, in Highland Park, NJ, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph Muscle and Margaret Pacconi Muscle.

Gloria dedicated many years of her life as an Auditor for the New Jersey Department of Taxation and Finance, retiring after a distinguished career. Gloria deeply appreciated music in her personal life, which brought her immense joy. She also pursued many other interests over the years. As a younger woman, she enjoyed playing tennis. And after retiring, she found pleasure in riding her bike. Gloria further delighted those around her with her baking talents, always having a tasty treat on hand to accompany a cup of coffee. She was a gracious hostess, warmly welcoming all who visited her.

She is survived by her four children, Sandra Hanley, Gary Scaramozzino, Jeff Scaramozzino (Irene) and Janis McCarthy (Tom), her sister, Geneva LoCastro; her grandchildren, Alysha (JD), Tina (Paul), Joseph (Amanda), Brianna (Grant), Kate, and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Lucas and Logan. Gloria was deeply loved by her family and a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Muscle, and her son-in-law, Peter Hanley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visiting hours on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY.
