Glenn William Therrien, 73, passed away on September 17, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born on November 5, 1952, in Troy, NY, to William and Jeanne (Katsky) Therrien. Glenn was the youngest of three boys and a 1971 graduate from Lansingburgh High School
Glenn spent his life working hard and took a lot of pride in the work he did. Over the years he worked at many places, with some of the more notable ones being Garden Way in Troy, Race Mark in Malta, and Specialty Silicone Products in Ballston Spa. He believed in working hard and taking pride in what you did, and that strong work ethic stayed with him throughout his life.
Glenn enjoyed camping when he was younger and loved riding motorcycles throughout his entire life. He took many motorcycle trips and made countless memories along the way. He loved music, watching and playing golf, watching TV, and he never passed up a good meal. He was friendly, easy to be around, and had a great sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and was especially great with kids.
Glenn had a way of making people remember him. One of his favorite sayings was “Beer and a Scoot.” If you asked him where something was, he would often say, “Well, do you know where the Watervliet Arsenal is? Well, it’s nowhere near there.” It was one of those things that was just so Glenn, and it is something his family and friends will always remember and laugh about.
Glenn is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily Therrien, and his children from a previous marriage, Delania Perras Therrien (Jonny Blackwell) and Jerrod Therrien. He is also survived by his former wife, Lori Butler Therrien, who remained a close friend and confidante. Glenn also leaves behind many relatives, friends, and fellow riders who he loved and considered family.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Jeanne (Katsky) Therrien, and his brothers, Greg and Gary Therrien.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, New York.
