Geraldine (Marcil) Krieger, age 83 passed away on December 22, 2020 in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Gerry was born on July 7, 1937 in Troy, NY, the oldest daughter of the late Leonard and Barbara (Welch) Tyler.
Gerry was a Saratoga Springs native, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She raised 4 children with Joseph Marcil, Sr. and they spent 25 amazing years at their home on Meadowbrook Road hosting holiday gatherings, family reunions and BBQ’s by their pool.
Later in life, Gerry married Charles N. Krieger and moved to Fort Lee, NJ. Eventually, they retired from the north east winters and settled in Barefoot Bay, FL where they enjoyed community gatherings, boating, and playing darts at the Moose Lodge, where Gerry was known to enjoy an “occasional” glass of wine. While living in Florida Gerry worked at Avatar, Walgreens, and the Barefoot Bay Administrations office.
Due to her failing health and the desire to be closer to her family, Gerry moved back to Saratoga and into The Home of the Good Shepard in March of 2019. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in August of 2020 she moved in with her daughter, at which time she was able to spend quality time with her children and grandchildren.
Gerry’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, staff, and administrators at The Home of the Good Shepard for their loving care and kindness.
