Gerald Heslin

Gerald Heslin, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born on December 3, 1930, in Cohoes, NY, the son of the late Gerald J. Hesiln and Laura Malo Heslin.

Gerald worked at the Office of General Services in Albany as a Specification Writer.

Gerald enjoyed playing and listening to music. Since he was a kid, he would play the piano and organ and his family loved hearing him play. Gerald loved living by the lake, was a good handy man and worked on anything mechanical, no matter what the problem was he would work hard to fix it.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Carmen Heslin; daughter Patricia Rourke (John); brothers Robert Heslin (Mary), and Lawrence Heslin; brother-in-law Alphonso Rangel (JoAnne); sister Mary Spencer (Gerald); sister-in-law Joan Thompson (William); grandchild Arielle Rourke; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York.

A mass service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday November 17, 2021, at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Gerald can be made to Saratoga Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as wearing of a face mask is recommended.
