Gene Sarro

Gene Sarro, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Wesley Health Care Center.

He was born on September 18, 1946, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to the late Patrick and Bessie (Morris) Sarro.

Gene was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. He had a passion for working on cars and trucks, and he knew them inside and out. Alongside his wife, June, he ran a lawn care business, taking pride in their work together.

He is survived by his sisters, Karol Woodcock and Christina Woodcock; brothers, Dennis Sarro (Cindy) and Terrence Sarro; stepson, Kim Sarro (Patty); stepdaughter, Bonnie Baker (Kevin); sister-in-law, Margy Lapier; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; his furry best friend Drake.

Gene was predeceased by his beloved wife, June Sarro; daughter, Bobbie Jo Sarro; and brothers, Patrick, Lanson, and Karl Sarro.

In honoring Gene’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private burial will be held for the family.
