Freddie L. Holt, age 70, passed away peacefully Thursday January 28, 2021 at his home with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on July 10, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas son of the late Hubert Hazel and Katherine McCall.
Fred worked at Wesley Health Care for 20 years as a CNA where he had met his loving wife Nancy. Fred’s co-workers remember him as a thorough and well-respected nurse’s assistant who had a smile that could warm any heart. Fred enjoyed fishing and exploring the wilderness, but when the weather was rough, he enjoyed spending time at the casino and playing scratch offs. Fred was never too far from where his heart and joy was, which was spending time with his family, friends and time spent in Texas to visit family.
Fred is survived by his wife Nancy J. Holt; sons, Freddie Toms Jr., Rodger Storey; daughter, Demetri Redd (Gilbert); stepson George Whalen; stepdaughter, Kate Koch; brothers, Larry Hazel (Muriel), Hubert “Tiny” Hazel (Kim), Billy Hazel, Lester “Buster” Hazel (Martha); sister, Dorothy “Gina” Hazel; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Marie Baine; brothers, Daniel McNeil, Clarence Perkins.
