Frank J. Capano, Jr., aged 89, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Wesley Health Care Center.
Born on September 1, 1934, in Bronx, New York, Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank J. Capano, Sr., and Concetta Morabito Capano.
Frank served his country with honor in the US Army, a fact of which he was immensely proud.
For many years, Frank navigated the bustling streets of New York City as a cab driver for NYC City Cab before eventually making Saratoga Springs his home. He found solace in the pages of books and the comfort of his favorite television shows, cherishing moments spent with his family above all else.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, David Capano (Teresa); sisters, Carmela Gansert, Mary Penteck, and Ann Capano; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.
Frank is reunited in eternal peace with his parents and brother, Philip Capano.
Calling hours for Frank will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.
Following the calling hours, a graveside service with military honors will commence at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
