Frances A. Ellis

Frances A. Ellis, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 19, 1942, in Rochester, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Michael Alvania and Anna Ratkovich Alvania.

Frances was married to Arlo W. Ellis on June 30, 1963. Arlo preceded Frances in death on April 4, 2023. They had a strong, loving partnership for nearly 60 years

Frances dedicated her life as a homemaker, known for her warmth, care, and love for her family. She had a nurturing spirit and took great pride in creating a loving home environment. Her greatest joy came from supporting her children and cherishing her time with her grandchildren. Frances also had a passion for travel and found peace in tending to her garden and great enjoyment in listening to music.

She is survived by her son, Steven M. Ellis (Sandra Connell); daughter, Cara Chryssovergis (Christopher); brother-in-law, Darrell Ellis (Judy); and her adored grandchildren, Alexa Chryssovergis, Cassia Chryssovergis, and Sophia Chryssovergis. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents.

At the family's request, no calling hours or services will be held at this time.
