Ernest Joseph Armstrong, Jr.

Ernest Joseph Armstrong, Jr. age 65, passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Greene Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with his family at his side. 

He was born on September 7, 1956 in Troy, New York, the son of the late Ernest J. Armstrong, Sr. and Shirley Daus Armstrong. 

He graduated from Troy High School, class of 1974.  In addition, Ernest proudly served his country in the US Navy.

Ernest was a Chef for the Saratoga Racetrack for many years. He enjoyed painting and drawing but his passion was listening to music.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Shirley M. Armstrong; brothers, Thomas Armstrong, Fredrick Armstrong, Wesley Armstrong; sisters, Randy Akstull, Judith Smith, and many friends who will miss him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest J. Armstrong Sr.; brother, Warren J. Armstrong; sister, Barbara Jean Armstrong.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
