Elsie Ebert 88, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on March 25, 1933 in Oppenheim, NY, the daughter of the late Melo and Beulah (Lampman) Snell.
Elsie continued her education to achieve an associate’s degree in nursing. She worked for St. Clements Elementary School in which she was a part of initiating and running the lunch program for ten years. Elsie continued her career as a nurse for Wesley Health Care Center until she retired. She continued to be a nurse for Wesley even after her retirement. Elsie’s greatest joy was caring for her patients.
Elsie enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles and “BINGO”.
Elsie is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Marcy Ebert; sister, Beatrice Levenworth; grandchildren, David (Kara) Ebert, Jeffery Ebert, William (Christine) Carter Jr., Colleen (Brian) Biddle and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Ebert, daughter, Debra, infant son, Vincent and many brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on December 23, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. Family and friends may call from 10 am-12 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, 150 West Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation.
