Edward Hardy Jr.

Edward Hardy Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2021, at Prestwick Chase in Saratoga Springs, NY.

He was born on September 2nd, 1938, in College Point, NY, son of the late Edward Hardy Sr. and Elizabeth Magee.

Edward graduated from Thomas Edison Vocational High School, class of 1956.

After graduating, Edward served in the United States Marine Corps, the greatest honor of his life.

Edward worked at the NYC Department of Sanitation out of Queens, NY.  He was a heavy equipment operator in the sanitation plants.

An avid baseball fan, Edward enjoyed watching the Yankees play, and most of all loved spending time with his family.

Edward is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth (Raymond) Bellon and Linda (Daniel) Shelley; sister, Eileen Callery; grandchildren, Jessica Bellon, Brianne Lushkevich (Alexander), Daniel Patrick Shelley, and Meaghan Despart (Christopher).

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY 12871.

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as mandatory wearing of a face mask is required.
