Edmund (Eddie) W. Wetherby 77 of Saratoga Springs NY, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2025. He was born in Middletown Springs, VT, son of Herbert Wetherby and Mamie (Balch) Wetherby.
In his early years Ed work for various farms in the NY/VT area. He later dedicated many years of service to NIBCO in South Glens Falls and Umicore in Glens Falls eventually retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed meeting up with the “boys” at Stewart’s and trips to casinos. Above all, he especially loved spending time visiting and going on trips with Tony, Mary, Kiera and Riley.
Edmund is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janet Wetherby. He is also survived by his four children, Anthony Wetherby Sr. of Coleman FL, Stacy Wetherby Hensley of Corinth, NY, Melissa Wetherby of Day, NY and David Wetherby of Glens Falls, NY. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Anthony Wetherby, Jr., Benjamin Wetherby, Jeramiah Wetherby, Jessica Wetherby, Hannah Wetherby, Kayla Usuriello, Dillon Stevens, Mason Wetherby and 4 great-grandchildren; Kiera Wetherby, Riley Wetherby, Leonidas Usuriello and Ryan Phillips.
Ed is survived by his siblings, Helen Rogers, Herbert, Michael Wetherby as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters and seven brothers, Elsie Duranty, Emily Keefe, Alice Parker, Beverly Reardon, Harmon, Clinton, Roland, Bruce, Alfred, Frank and Frederick Wetherby.
At Ed’s request there will be no funeral services.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to The Community Hospice for their loving care and comfort in his final days.
