Duane Evans

Duane F. Evans Sr., aka Woofie, age 66, peacefully passed away early Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital.

He was born on September 6, 1955, in Ballston Spa, NY, the son of the late Elmer and Patricia (Askew) Evans.   

Duane was a true outdoors man. He loved to go camping, fishing, driving monster trucks, lawn mowers, motorcycles and four wheelers. He loved to tinker and build an array of things. He was a very creative man. His sense of humor put a smile on your face and a laugh in your heart. The last few years of his life had been hard on him, but he still tried to enjoy life any way he could. Before that he was so vibrant. He was the kind of man you could not help but to love.  

Duane loved his family and friends; they meant the world to him. He has touched so many people's lives, he will forever be missed and loved.  It is a sad day to lose such a funny, loving, caring and interesting man.

He is survived by his son, Duane Evans Jr.; daughters, Amy J. Evans and Sue-Ann R. Combs; sisters, Darlean Cederholm, Janice Schmitz and Patricia Nedo; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Wayne Evans.

A funeral service will be held at 7pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave) Saratoga Springs, New York. Family and friends may call from 5pm to 7pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
