Dorothy Anne Wilcox

Dorothy Anne Wilcox age 77, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital Saratoga Springs, NY.

She was born on June 28, 1944, in Hartford, Ct. the daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Gutt) Gullen.

She graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, CT.

Dorothy worked for Aetna Insurance in Hartford, Ct., Kings Department Store, Niagara Falls, NY, Kmart in Niagara Falls, NY and Vishay Technology in Niagara Falls, NY.

Dorothy enjoyed playing Mah Jongg, Hand and Foot, Rummikub, cards with her longtime partner (husband, Gary) and one of her best friends Jeanette Penree at the Summit of Saratoga. She also enjoyed watching her grandson play hockey online.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Gary E. Wilcox of 53 years; children, Tracy Wilcox of Indianapolis, Sarah Wilcox of Las Vegas, David Wilcox of Las Vegas; siblings, Frank Gullen of Rockville Conn., Gregory Gullen (Marilu) of West Hartford, Conn.; grandchildren, Victoria Roderick, Ashley Roderick, Evan Lackas; many nephews, nieces and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her brother, Col. John Gullen and sister, Mary Tremont.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
