Donna Shepherd-Moon

With her loving family by her side, Donna Shepherd-Moon, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Saratoga Hospital.

Born on December 7, 1945, in Saratoga Springs, NY, Donna was the daughter of the late Frank Vanlew and Nettie Ruggles Vanlew.

Donna worked for many years in housekeeping at the Saratoga Harness Track, where she formed lasting friendships. She had a deep love for horses, enjoyed watching classic movies, and treasured the time spent with family and friends. Her faithful companion, her beloved dog China, was always by her side.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley Bernash and Bryant Bernash (Cindy T); her daughter, Renee Galuszka (Larry); her brother, Vanlew; as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jay Scranton.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours or services at this time.
