Donald Chester King

Donald Chester King, 67, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Donald was born on January 19, 1954, in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of the late Wilfred Jones and Dorothy Knowlton. 

Don was the owner of Don King’s Sealcoating and Snowplowing. He had many customers who also became his friends. He was always there to lend a hand for anyone that needed it, often going without to help others. He could fix just about anything, and usually did. He enjoyed dancing and in his younger days was a good dancer. He could usually be seen with a wrench or screwdriver in his hand. He will surely be missed by those who know and love him.

He is survived by sons, Donald King, Jr., of Schenectady, NY, David King of Ballston spa, NY, Alexander King of Gansevoort, NY; daughter, Shannon King of Queensbury, NY; sister, Dorothy Turner (Dale) of Florida, Marilyn Kurtsinger (Brian) of Wilton, NY; grandsons, Brian King, Evan King, David King Jr, Anthony King, Cameron King, Josh Baker; several nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. 
He was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly King, grandson, Chris Baker and his sister Lois Ramsey.

A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. 

Friends are welcome to come enjoy the fun of his celebration which is what Donny would want.
