Donald Finn

Donald Finn of Saratoga, NY passed away on Wednesday May 15,2024 at Glens Falls Center healthcare facility. He had chronic kidney disease due to diabetes.

He was born April 6,1939 in Saranac Lake, NY the son of Roy and Lois Finn. After high school he served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Don trained harness horses for over 50 years mainly at Vernon Downs and Saratoga Raceway. He was also employed part -time at Upstate Transit Bus Company. He was always happy working with horses and people. He would offer his help whenever someone was in need and was always generous with his smiles and his time.

Don was predeceased by his wife Barbara, their two sons Donald and Jeffrey Finn as well as his parents. He is survived by two daughters Sandy Makara (Mark), Kari Finn (Joe) and his son Paul Finn (Jacqueline); two sisters Patti Bandolin (Larry), Peg Swingle (Sandy) as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
