Dolores A. Pena

Dolores A. Pena, age 87, passed away on January 17, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital.

She was born on March 19, 1934, in New York, NY, the daughter of the late George and Susan (Adams) Mitsakos. 

Dolores worked at O’Briens Pharmacy for many years before moving to the medical field as a secretary.

She enjoyed reading and good game of cards with her family and friends.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family at the lake.

Dolores is survived by her son, Robert Pena (Judy); daughter Donna Sullivan (Michael); several grandchildren, Katie Sullivan, Lisa Zacchio, Christopher Pena, Nick Pena,Tim Pena & Stacy Geceivicz, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many friends. 

She is preceded in death by her son, George Pena.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York. Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309 following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Dolores can be made to the Palliative Care Center at Saratoga Hospital, 119 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as wearing of a face mask is recommended.
