Dimond Lamont Tolbert

Dimond Lamont Tolbert, age 47, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Ellis hospital. 

He was born on November 4, 1974 in Memphis, TN.  

Dimond was a security guard for the Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady, NY for many years.  

Dimond went to Mount Vernon High school. Thereafter he attended Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY.. 

If there is one thing Dimond enjoyed doing, it was making those around him laugh. Everyone who knew Dimond knew this to be true and could count on him to always make those around him feel good. During the football season everyone knew who his favorite team was, the San Francisco 49ers. In his spare time he liked reading, watching action movies and going on road trips. Dimond also enjoyed playing his numbers and interrogating Izzy like a brother. One of Dimond’s dreams is was to move to North Carolina and get enough land to have multiple animals which included a black stallion horse, goats and cows. Dimond even wanted a fennec fox.

Dimond is survived by his fiancé’ Amanda Meeker; mother, Amanda Tolbert-Smith ( Russell Smith); son, Donovan Tucker-Tolbert; daughter, Camille Tucker-Tolbert; sisters, Aleica Flood (Ronn Flood), Shana Tolbert, Chanel Smith; three aunts, Clara Mapp, Martha Tolbert (his buddy), Evangelist Rosie Tolbert; three uncles, James, Ernest and Eddie Tolbert, Jr. ; three nephews, many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. 

He is preceded in death by his loving grandmother Millie Tolbert, grandfather Eddie M. Tolbert, Sr.; three uncles, John E., John H. and Mack Tolbert.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 42 Maple Ave., Saratoga Spring, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. 

A graveside service will follow at Greenridge Cemetery, 17 Green Ridge Pl, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
