Debra Jean Peck, 70, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, leaving behind a life rooted in love, family, and music.
Born on August 10, 1955, to Kenneth and Claire Wheeler, Debra grew up in Cohoes, New York, and later made her home in Greenfield Center, New York. She formed the foundation of the caring and spirited person she would become early in life and carried that strength and warmth with her throughout the years, touching those around her in quiet but meaningful ways.
Debra spent her life working hard in various jobs to support her family, always putting their needs before her own. Her dedication and resilience were evident in everything she did, and she took great pride in caring for the people she loved.
She had a deep love for music, which brought her comfort and joy and remained a constant throughout her life. She also found peace in the outdoors, especially enjoying time spent outside and watching hummingbirds, which brought her a special kind of happiness. She loved to bake and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating memories that will live on through them.
She is survived by her husband, Bradford Peck; her children, Jonathan (Monica) Smith, Nathan Smith (Angie Ahr), Cassandra (Carl) Engler, and Stephanie Lomaestro; her siblings, Mick (Kathy) Wheeler, Sandra (Thomas) DeMeo, Nancy (Jeff) Moore , and Lorie (Luke) Shea; her sister-in-law, Deborah (Howard) Campbell; her father-in-law, Keith Peck; her ten grandchildren and significant others; Cierra Mayer (Charles Ray), Jordan Smith (Gordon Hudson), Brianna Smith, Justin Smith, Braedyn Engler, Axton Engler, Lincoln Engler, Elijah Lomaestro, Finnegan Engler, and Killian Lomaestro; Her three great-grandchildren, Carter Ray, Cason Ray, and Waylon Hudson; and her beloved pets, Comet Boy and Zingy. Her family—both human and furry—was the center of her life, and her love for them was steady and enduring.
Debra will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
