Dean Deuel

Dean Deuel, Sr., age 81, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on December 14, 1939 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of the late Edmond Deuel and Belve Baker Deuel.

Dean was an avid outdoorsman, as you would often hear him say “I’m going down to the bank of that river, I’m gonna cast my line out over the swells, and hope for lots of fish”. Dean will be remembered for his humble spirit and beautiful smile.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Crandall Deuel; sons, Dean Deuel, Jr. (Sandy), David Deuel (Paula), Robert Deuel (Karen); daughters, Mary Ann Jacobie, Kimberly Crandall, Karen Crandall; brother, Don Deuel (Mary); in-laws, Leslie and Robert Baldwin; sister, Elizabeth Gertrude Deuel Lones (Bill); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his brother Edmond Deuel and sister Patricia Murray.

Family and friends may call from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. An Elks service will be held at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.
