Darci Carlson Obituary

Darci A. Carlson, aged 63, peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 23, 1960, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to the late William A. White and Shirley A. (Brophy) White.

For many years, Darci dedicated herself as an account specialist at Pallette Stone in the Saratoga Springs area. Her work ethic and commitment were unwavering, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Darci had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the outdoors. She found joy in riding her snowmobile and ATV, but her greatest passion was her Harley Davidson, Indian and Spyder motorcycles. Darci loved sharing the open road with her husband, George Carlson, as they embarked on countless memorable motorcycle journeys.  Darci would help others by participating in many benefit motorcycle rides across the northeast.

In addition to her outdoor pursuits, Darci had a green thumb and took great pride in tending to her beloved gardens, where vibrant flowers bloomed under her loving care. She was a social butterfly, cherishing gatherings with family and friends, picnics, and special occasions. Her warm hospitality was second to none. Darci’s other passion was her animals. Darci was a breeder of champion bloodline Bullmastiffs for many years and cared for her own beloved dogs and cats.

Above all, Darci's heart belonged to her family. She was a devoted mother to her son and a loyal friend. Her unwavering love and support touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Darci is survived by her adoring husband, George Carlson, with whom she shared countless joyous moments. She is also survived by her son, Stephen Singley (Nik Gatzendorfer) of Saratoga Springs, NY; her sister-in-law Chris White of Conneaut Lake, PA; her niece, Brittany Thompson (Vinnie) of Jamestown, PA; her nephew, Shaun White (Brea) of Erie, PA, and a multitude of other loving family and friends who will forever miss her kind and gracious spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Shirley White, and her brother, Michael White.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service at this time.  A graveside burial will be planned at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Compassionate Funeral Care, Inc., 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
