Daniel R. Hamilton

Daniel R. Hamilton, formerly of Hudson Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at home in Saratoga Springs. He was surrounded by his loving family, on Friday January 31, 2025.

Born on September 8, 1948, he was the son of Wesley Hamilton and Myrtle Lewis. He was 76.

Dan was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal for over 40 years, where he took great pride in his work. 

Dan cherished time with his family and was known for his adventurous spirit. He had a passion for motorcycle rides, classic cars, skiing, boating, and traveling. He loved soaking up the sun by the pool or at beachside destinations. He embraced nature through camping, fishing, and hiking, always sharing his love for spontaneous adventures with those closest to him.

He leaves behind his son, Daniel Hamilton, Jr. (Tiffany Terry); his daughter, Melissa Hamilton; and his beloved grandchildren: Jackson Terry, Isabel Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, and Aralia Love. He remained close with his siblings and cherished his many nieces and nephews, always bringing fun and adventure into their lives.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Interment with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
