Dale Richard Palmateer

Dale Richard Palmateer, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 1, 2023 in Saratoga Springs.

He was born on March 15, 1964 in Saratoga Springs, NY; Son of the late George H. Palmateer, Sr and Sandra Blakesley Palmateer. 

Dale “Stumper” was an arborist for Rowland’s Tree Service for many years. In his younger years, he spent most of his time rescuing horses and breeding dogs. He was a Mopar enthusiast who loved spending time with his brothers in the shop. He enjoyed his cruises around town and was a social butterfly. His most recent passion was through music and karaoke. He was a gentle soul who was easy to love. He had genuine concern for those around him. He was loving, kind, compassionate, down to earth and selfless in all that he did. He had a laugh that was contagious. His family and friends meant everything to him. 

Dale is survived by his brothers Harold Thomas, Andrew Palmateer, Michael Palmateer (Bobbie Jo), Timothy Ramsey (Kelley); sisters Sandra Bushey (Michael), Dorothy Preece (William); sister-in-law, Darlene Palmateer; his dear friend Larry Ramsey (Tammy) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, George H. Palmateer Sr, Sandra Blakesley Palmateer, his brothers George John Rowland and George H. Palmateer, Jr. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Route 9 and/or Marion Ave), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Calling hours will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home.
