Christopher B. Leyendecker, Jr.

Christopher B. Leyendecker, Jr., beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend departed from this life on August 17, 2023 at the age of 34. His passing has left an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew him.

Born in Plattsburgh, New York on January 17, 1989 to Christopher B. Leyendecker, Sr. and Robin Burgess Leyendecker, Chris’s youth was filled with wonder, family outings and smiles. 

Chris was a Truck Driver for many years.  Chris was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping, all of which he did with members of his family. Some of his family’s fondest memories are of those adventures.  His love for his boys and unyielding dedication to his family endures beyond his short time here on this earth.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Chris was survived by his father, Christopher B. Leyendecker, Sr. (Debbie); sons, Ryder Leyendecker, Wyatt Leyendecker; brother, Casey Leyendecker (Kyla); sisters, Afton Wood, Melissa Leyendecker; many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss his gentle spirit. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Robin Burgess Leyendecker.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
