In earlier years, he was an assistant coach of the Fort Ann & Hartford girls varsity softball teams. Chuck also served as Vice President of the New York State Junior Miss Scholarship Program. He enjoyed watching Nascar, The Yankees, and the Miami Dolphins.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Cathy (White) Graham; two daughters: Tara Jean Cody and her husband Shane and Lou Ann Graham and her partner Erika Mershon; a granddaughter Taylor Jean (her fiancé Shane Sharrow) who he  referred to as Pumkin Pie, a grandson Teagan James Tharp who is lovingly referred to as Tinker; three step-grand-daughters Justice Fair of Massachusetts and Libby and Natalie Cody of Fort Ann; step-grandson Travis Tharp of Oklahoma; a step- great grandson JJ.
