Charles E. Bott

Charles E. Bott, 87, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 15, 1938, in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Edward F. Bott Sr. and Stasia (Zablotna) Bott.

Charlie was married to the love of his life, Frances Surowiec Bott, for 46 wonderful years.

He worked for New York State for many years before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Never one to stay idle, Charlie later worked part-time for Saratoga Spa Golf, Northway Auto Exchange, and the Town of Wilton Highway Department. One of his favorite roles was working at the Saratoga County Fair, where he loved reconnecting with old friends and watching the next generations grow up year after year.

A proud fan of the New York Mets, New York Giants, and Notre Dame Football (Go Irish!), Charlie also enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, bowling, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Bott; his children Patricia Bott, Timothy Bott (Sue), Kimberly Bott (Mike Denison), and Christopher Bott; grandchildren Melissa Reed (Jeremy), Jereme Palma (Tina), and Erin Tomlin (Jacob); great-grandchildren Reagan Reed, Alex and Angelo Palma, and Lawson and Hunter Tomlin; sister Carole Eddins; brother Edward F. Bott Jr.; and former spouse Elizabeth Elligott Bott.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Saratoga Hospital, especially the compassionate nurses in the ER and D2 units, for their exceptional care and kindness.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
