Carol McDonnell

Carol McDonnell of Boynton Beach, FL, age 75, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Saratoga Hospital with her family by her side. Carol was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of Harry and Sylvia (nee Weinrich) Friedman who along with her sister, Evelyn Greenwood, predeceased her. 

Carol graduated from Walton High School in the Bronx, NY. Carol worked as a Realtor for many years before moving into Financial and Credit manager roles at both Office Depot and Spherion. Carol was a long time resident of the Sun Valley East Community in Boynton Beach, Florida and served on the Community’s Board, as Treasurer, for five years. 

Carol enjoyed reading, Mahjong, bowling, knitting, doing online crosswords and spending time with friends and family. Most importantly she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, coming ‘North’ every summer for extended visits. 

Carol is survived by her adoring husband, Steven Millman and loving children Kenneth McDonnell and his wife Susan of Middletown, NJ and Laurie Guyon and her husband Scott of Wilton, NY. Carol was the cherished grandma and nana to Grace, Quinn and Reese McDonnell and Abigail and Sean Guyon. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Curt Millman and his wife Irene of Atlanta, Georgia and sister-in-law Christine Bossi and her husband John of Arvada, Colorado as well as many friends who will miss her smile. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Compassionate Funeral Care located 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
