Bruce Alan Erhardt, 74, passed away Wednesday September 16. 2026 He attended Lake George School. Born July 21, 1952.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Bertha (Adams) Erhardt, and his brothers Brian, Roger and Dale, all of Lake George.
He is survived by his wife Jayne (Nellis) Erhardt and stepdaughter Erin Mulligan His cousins Maureen Walstra and Kathie (Craig) Kuziel of San Jose, California. Nieces and great nieces and nephew.
Bruce and Jayne met 8 years ago on a dating site and had just celebrated their third wedding anniversary in Sept. Bruce was 71 when he married, stating he was "looking for love in the wrong places!" Their first dance was" Could I Have This Dance for the Rest of my Life!" Although their time together was short they enjoyed a full and rich life. One of the Bruce's favorite thing was he was able to visit Niagara Falls and Branson, Missouri. Which had been a live long dream of his. He gave a try at rock climbing. Didn't get far but he tried and had a good time!
He enjoyed spending time with his new wife Jayne, their dog "Fawn", friends and family. He was especially close to his friends Jim, Tom and Dave, he enjoyed a wide variety of activities with them and succeed in getting in a few fixes throughout the years! He was a hunter, gardener (always said nothing like going to the garden and picking a tomato and eating it off the vine), enjoyed riding his 2003 Harley, worked on auto repairs, enjoyed radio control planes. By far playing his guitars was his top activity that he enjoyed playing daily.
Bruce had his own business, Welding and Fabrication by Bruce. He was a proud graduate of Hobart School of Welding Technology, Troy, Ohio. Graduating in June of 1978. His most memorable job was when he worked on the Lac du Saint Sacrement Ship owned by the Lake George Steamboat Company. Apparently the boat was made wider and needed welders and fabricators!
He did work for a short period of time in St Croix, Virgin Islands. Working closely with his brothers Brian and Roger to install phone service to the island. He also worked with his brother Roger doing house painting around the Lake George area.
He attended Bay Road Church in Lake George and he felt blessed to have received the Lord this past year. So he is now in the arms of our Lord.
He was an amazing husband, a loving and caring man and will be missed by many. Hopefully, everyone will remember him and his antics.
A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Bay Road Church, 1167 Bay Road, Lake George, NY 12845.
