Bridget Dudla, aged 73, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by her family at Mary's Haven.
Born on January 27, 1950, in Elmira, NY. Bridget was the daughter of the late Richard Sardo and Genevieve Cassidy Ficchi, and stepfather, Frank Ficchi.
Bridget dedicated many years of her life as a Health Teacher in the Corinth School District before her well-earned retirement. While she had various interests, including a love for racehorses, magic, and tending bar, her true passion resided in being a health teacher. She adored her students and they adored her as evidenced by her many” Teacher of the Year Awards” . She took special interest in her “sidewinders” whom she took under her wing. Bridget made a difference in the lives of everyone she met.
Bridget is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Dudla, of 34 years, her brothers, Joseph Sardo, John Sardo (Anita), Richard Sardo (Liz), sister Julie Sardo. She also leaves behind her daughter Heather Baker (Adam) and her cherished grandchildren: Justin Pliscofsky, Elizabeth Case, Ava Baker, and Mason Baker, many cousins, and her Beloved Cats, Grigio and PoPo. Bridget also made many friends throughout her journey in life, and she maintained special bonds. Her warmth and incredible smile will live on in our memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Kellie Dudla.
A funeral service in honor of Bridget's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Compassionate Funeral Care, located at 402 Maple Ave. (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Family and friends may pay their respects and offer condolences from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will be held at the Principessa Elena, 13 Oak Street, Saratoga Springs, NY from 4 – 8 PM on January 27, 2024.
