Brian Mayott Obituary

Brian K. Mayott, age 62, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025.
Born on August 7, 1963, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, he was the son of
Curtis William Mayott and Janet (Garvin) Mayott.
After graduation from Glens Falls High School and the State University of
New York at Plattsburgh, Brian worked in the pharmaceutical industry,
holding positions at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals and subsequently
as a pharmacy technician. He was a dreamer and was always
contemplating the next greatest invention. Brian never settled for the status
quo; any idea you had, no matter how crazy or unattainable, he would
encourage you to go for it!
Brian loved trivia and never missed an episode of Jeopardy! He found joy
in cooking, listening to John Denver, long rides to Vermont, learning about
maple syruping and gardening. This past year, he was most proud of his
new ginger plant and little lemon trees. Above all, he cherished time with
his family and silly Bassett hound dogs, Meredith and Bandit. The family is
comforted knowing that his loyal German Shepherd, Hawkeye, welcomed
him on the Rainbow Bridge.
He is survived by his loving mother, Janet Mayott Gilespie; his son, Andrew
W. Mayott (Alysha Walsh); brother, Jeffrey Mayott and wife Debi; sister,
Sherilyn Van Woert and husband Tim; sister-in-law, Cheri Mayott; and his
true love, Krissy LaFreniere and her daughters Julia Cataldo and Kara
Cataldo (Josh Patterson). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews,
and friends who will miss his humor, kindness, and long talks on the phone.
Brian was predeceased by his father, Curtis William Mayott; brother,
Stewart Mayott; and best friend Dan Hogan.
