Brenda Buchholz Obituary

Brenda Buchholz, age 57, passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 19, 1967, at Lakenheath Air Force Base in England, she was the cherished daughter of Joseph Duell and Susan Lanfear.

Brenda dedicated her life to serving others, whether through her esteemed career in the culinary arts or her compassionate work as a caretaker. She began her journey as a chef at Lillans Restaurant at the age of 17 and continued to share her talents at several establishments, including The Lookout Café in Lake George, Suzie Q’s in Brant Lake, Country Corner Café in Saratoga Springs, and Cracker Barrel in both Florida and Clifton Park, New York. Throughout her career, she was adored by colleagues and patrons alike, forging lifelong friendships and leaving an indelible mark on each place she worked. Her most recent work was a testament to her selflessness, as she devoted herself to the care of her beloved Aunt Rose and other elderly individuals through Home Instead.

A proud patriot, Brenda held deep respect for the American flag and all it symbolized. She had a profound appreciation for country music, particularly Donny Elvis, and could often be found dancing with joy to her favorite songs, embracing life with warmth and enthusiasm.

Brenda is survived by her beloved children, Thomas Buchholz (Stephanie Mayr) and Kristen Buchholz (Allison Rezsnyak); her devoted partner, Scott Morgan; her brothers, Joseph Lanfear (Kathleen) and Paul Lanfear (Gina); and her sisters, Melinda Nolan (David) and Kimberly Lanfear. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Brayden and Selena Buchholz, Ayden and Scarlett Lucarne, and Austin and Emily Munger, as well as her cherished dogs, Buttercup, Baby, Buddy, and Charlie, whom she never left home without.

Additionally, she is survived by her adored nephews, David, Travis, Christopher, Michael, and Nathaniel, and her beloved nieces, Alexandria, Jazzmin, and Rayonna.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Duell and Susan Lanfear, her stepfather, Raymond Lanfear, as well as, her grandparents, William and Madeline Eichler, and Harold Duell and Lucille Leight, who now welcome her home with open arms.
