"Betty" Elizabeth Stewart Jones-Chew

“Betty”, Elizabeth Stewart Jones-Chew, age 83 passed away on December 18, 2018 during her peaceful sleep at her home in Saratoga Springs, NY.

She was born on August 15, 1935 in Ballston Spa., NY, the daughter of the late James Adam and Elizabeth Ashton Jones.

Betty loved life and embraced all it had to offer throughout her stay here on earth.  She was a lover of the creation and all its creatures therein.  It would not be uncommon to find her walking through an open field or a secluded forest while taking note of every beautiful sight, small or great.  She also loved others – being ever at the ready to serve or to sacrifice in order to provide comfort to those who surrounded her.  With her quick wit and grand sense of humor, Betty was always fun to have around…this trait may be why her high school classmates of ’54 voted her, “friendliest”.   With certainty, Betty was a grand lady.

Reading books were Betty’s favorite pastime, especially wholesome mysteries, children’s stories and Scriptures.  What can be said of Betty most significantly is; Betty loves Jesus and Jesus loves her.  To all of us who love Jesus too, we will see Betty again in His Kingdom!
