Arthur P. Grant

Arthur P Grant passed away on August 9, 2025, he was 88 years old. Arthur was affectionately known by his family as "Buddy" and to his friends as " Coach". He was born October 11, 1936 in Albany, NY to the late Arthur and Lorraine Grant. Arthur graduated from Cathedral Academy in 1954 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. He spent many years working in sales before retiring.

In 1971 Arthur moved with his family to Big Pine Key, Fla. He later returned to Upstate NY with his children, settling in Saratoga Springs in 1982. He loved the ocean and the time he spent in the Florida Keys, returning to visit many times over the years.

Arthur loved all things, sports and was a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan. His favorite was college basketball always rooting for Villanova and St John's Universities. He was an avid gambler and enjoyed going to the races at Saratoga Race Course. He also loved to fish and spending summers with his family in Lake George.

Arthur is survived by his sister Theresa "Teddy " Grant-Engel, his three children Arthur (Alison), Marcia Diffley (John), Jennifer (James) and five granddaughters, Madeline, Jacqueline, Nicole, Kate and Jessica.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone at The Essex Center in Elizabethtown NY for their kindness and care of Arthur in the last few years of his life.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
