Arleen Brusko

Arleen Brusko, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital with her family by her side. 

She was born on October 11, 1947 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Frank Krasiker and Elizabeth Velan.

Arleen graduated from Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, NY.  She became a registered nurse after attending Vassar Brothers Hospital School of Nursing in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Arleen worked at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, NY for several years as a registered nurse as she loved helping others.  Additionally, she worked at Sky View Haven Nursing Home in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

Arleen enjoyed her career as a nurse but made the decision to stay at home full-time to care for her family.  She was an avid reader, loved needlework, vacationing in Maine and making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.  She spent countless hours with them working on school assignments, watching movies and building Legos.   

Arleen is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John Brusko; daughter, Lisa Disbrow (Chris); sister, Alyce Furfaro (Jimmy); brothers-in-law, Paul Brusko (Maurine), and Gene Brusko; niece, Sarah Brusko; nephews, Andrew Brusko (Boryana), and Andrew Furfaro (Susan); grandchildren, Justin Gardner (Kelly), and Kayla Disbrow; as well as many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care. Following the service there will be a procession to Greenfield Center Cemetery (Wilton Rd - located 1 mile east of Rt 9N-Wilton Rd intersection Greenfield Center, NY 12833) for the interment.

Due to the ongoing public health concerns of COVID-19 social distancing as well as mandatory wearing of a face mask is required unless you have proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
