Alma Carolyn Podhradsky

Alma Carolyn Podhradsky, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at her home in the Town of Moreau, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 1, 1944, in Biloxi, MS, she was the daughter of the late William C. Fletcher and Glenna Culler.

Alma dedicated many years to clerical work with GA Power in Augusta, GA, before her retirement. She was a talented seamstress with a passion for crafting, and she also enjoyed her time working in mortgage and finance in Greeneville, TN. Above all, Alma’s greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her son, Michael King (Jane) of Monterey, TN; daughters, Charlene Walters of Grottoes, VA and Peggy King of Moreau, NY; brother, William C. Fletcher Jr. (Anna); sister-in-law, Rita Fletcher; grandchildren, Trey Walters (Brittany), Andrea Burgess, and Victoria Burgess; great grandchildren, Austin Bordeau, Chase DeVente, Blaise Walters, Brady Walters and Briggham Walters; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will deeply miss her.

In addition to her parents, Alma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wesley R. Podhradsky Jr; her brother, James Fletcher; and her son, Robert Allen King.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Olde Liberty Baptist Church in Malta, NY at 2:00 pm with a reception following the service.
