Alexander Moniot

Alexander Moniot, age 35 was called home to heaven and granted the gift of eternal life on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. 

He was born on February 12, 1987, the son of Michael and Linda (Olson) Moniot. 

Alex was always quick with a sarcastic quip, a joke, and even faster to flash his winning smile. Alex was a born entertainer who made friends quickly and easily. He found joy in being in and around the water. Alex found his purpose and peace while swimming with his many friends and coaches. He was deeply empathetic and kind to those who were lucky enough to call him friend or family. He was a super fan of the Buffalo Bills, live music, and enjoyed attending games and concerts with his dad. He also lived for the quiet moments in life, whether it was sitting by the fire pit talking about life with his mom, fishing with his girls, or just relaxing with his friends. It’s these traits and so many more that leave all who truly knew him grateful to have had him in their lives.

When Alex left this world, he left behind his two beloved and cherished daughters, Rylee and Lilyan Moniot, who gave his life purpose, along with so much love, joy and meaning. His devoted parents, Michael and Linda Moniot; sister, Elyse Palleschi and husband Joseph Palleschi; niece and nephew Quinn and Asher Palleschi; grandparents, Lois and Alan Olson, Sandra Moniot and many friends.

Alex touched the lives of so many people, friends and colleagues in the hospitality field and will continue to live in the hearts and memories of all those who knew him well.

In lieu of flowers or donation the family asks that you tip generously on your next visit to a restaurant in Alex’s memory.

There will be a memorial service at 5 pm on March 15, 2022, at the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church, 175 5th Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
