Albert E. Ernst, 46, passed away at his home on June 6, 2025, following a long, courageous battle with addiction.
Albert was born June 1, 1979, in Fort Polk, LA and lived most of his life in Wilton, NY.
During high school, Albert entered the construction trade school program at Boces in Saratoga. For much of his career, he worked as a skilled drywaller and taper with his father, Tom Ernst, with Ernst Drywall. Albert later went on to work with a local carpenter’s union doing commercial construction. Over the past ten years, Albert branched off and formed his own business, Premier Interiors, where he specialized in drywall, taping, and painting. Albert was so proud of his work and skilled abilities and spoke about it with intense pride. Traveling in the area with him, he would always point out the homes and buildings he remodeled or helped build.
To know Albert, is to know his love for his favorite Artist, Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy was his lifelong idol since he was six years old. Albert’s memory will surely live on in Ozzy’s music. Albert was also a talented drummer and incredible at the double bass. His music was loud, and he played with so much passion and skill.
Albert was always looking for a fun time or a fast ride, whether it be BMX biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, jumping flips off rope swings, or parties with friends and family. One thing is for sure, he was usually the center of attention because he was such a free spirit and beautiful person. No matter who you were, Albert always made you feel like the most important person to him and offered the biggest hug. He gave so much light to everyone around him. He was a soul as bright as the sun! He always said there is so much more to life than is offered here on earth.
Albert took his role as “Uncle Albert” very seriously. He was so proud to be an uncle. His nephew, Jermaine, was like a brother to him. His nieces, Lydia and Chloe were his pride and joy. They used to refer to him as “Funcle” (fun-uncle).
Albert leaves behind his fur-babies, two cats named Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford. He called them “his family”. They were very special to him.
Albert is also survived by his mother Kathleen R. (Ernst) Holden, his father, Thomas W. Ernst (Joni), his sister, Robin R. Ernst, his sister, Jennifer L. E. Roshong (Wayne), his nephew, Jermaine K. Owens jr. (Maria), his nieces, Lydia and Chloe Roshong, his great-nephews, Jai and Zahir Owens, and many other family members who loved him dearly.
Albert also left behind a very special circle of friends that he called his brothers and sisters.
